Farrokh Aman [b. Tehran, Iran] lives and works in London.
His practice foregrounds the notion of domesticity and sits across a spectrum of disciplines; designing spaces and buildings, making utile and sculptural objects at a variety of scales, and research on living practices such as cooking.
These are brought together by a practical approach of designing through processes and techniques; in metal, in timber, in print or in brick and mortar.
He has previously worked for David Chipperfield and Sergison Bates architects on urban-scale, cultural, mixed use and domestic projects in the UK and Europe. He has taught and lectured in the UK - at the University of Nottingham, the Architectural Association and London Metropolitan University.
He holds a postgraduate degree in architecture from London Metropolitan University and completed his studies at the Architectural Association in London.
