The project at Aterlier Luma in Arles explores replacing contemporary common chemicals in ceramics' glazes with earth that is generated as by product of excavation, and often discarded as waste.

In the course of the exercise, an array of tests were produced, incrementally tweaking key ingredients of recipes in order to create a spectrum of stable glazes to be used in future projects.
